About Rolex
Rooted in the fertile grounds of hard beginnings and humble origins, Rolex Rings, have survived and surpassed competitors and are now the leading manufacturers of hot forged rolled ring in India along with finish machining through CMC route. Rolex Industries, which was founded in a room of 15 by 15 feet in 1975, has established a mark across the country due to hard work and vision developed by Mr. Rupesti Madeka and Mr. Jiten Madeka. Mr. Manesh Madeka, Chairman & Managing Director of Rolex Rings Pvt. Ltd says, “Till now we have manufacturing facilities to achieve turnover of Rs.500 crores, but we are installing new facilities pumping another Rs.450 crores which will make us a Rs.1,600 crore company, because we aim annual production to the tune of Rs. 1,100 crores from our new facilities. “About 70S of sales goes to global customers which is an endorsement of Rolex’s capability of delivering reliably and cost effectively under stringent global quality standards.

Rolex was the first company to install Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) in year 2002-03, when ERP was a very less heard term across the industrial vertical of Saurashtra-Kutch region. Company also has private equity participation to the tune of 26% from US-based investment arm New Silk Route, which has stake in other multinational group also in India.

How was this all possible? Manesh Madeka replied: “Usually people pump in their profits in land, real estate, stock market, but we concentrate in our core business segment we believed in philosophy of nurturing the plant we had planted to let it grow and became a huge tree, further providing shade to one and all under it and so we are here today.”

Rolex Group, till date had graduates running the company operations, but the new team of second generation of Madeka family comprises of Technocrats and finance wizards, who will contribute for further growth of the company. What makes Rolex lead above others? Answering this Mihir Madeka says, “The machinery which is going to be installed at our new facility would be with advanced technology, till date no entrepreneur has gone for such huge investment, so we will have competitive advantage over other players and will enter into different orbital as far as our supply chain management and delivery quantum is concerned.”

Simple, sober, naive approach and a perfect teamwork to solve each and every problem has largely helped the group to scale new heights, and as Manesh Madeka says, “There is nothing more than teamwork within the family and understanding to handle the things in a better manner. This particular understanding has helped us reach where we are today. Our elder brother Mr. Rupesh Madeka and Mr. Jiten Madeka started this venture, further family members were recruited into the business, who contributed in the business with one responsibility for making exponential growth.”

Madeka, usually dressed in formal clothes, prefers home-made ethnic food and is an ardent follows of news, be it from newspaper or television channels. “I usually prefer to read business publications and watch business television channel,” accepts Madeka, largely this in itself is stress buster for me. Does not believe in any lucky number as such, prefers to go on holidays, depending on the permissibility of time from the professional commitments.
