Multicontact multilam technology
The Multilam Contact Band Technology in all the MC Products, Multilam bands are torsion or leaf spring contact elements with unmatched electrical and mechanical properties. The Multilam design produces a large number of louvers, and therefore allows contact to be made through a large number of defined contact points, which substantially reduces the overall contact resistance. There is now a range of some 50 different Multilams, each of which is designed for a specific application. Some bands are specifically optimized for high plugging cycles, while others are perfected for high current loads, both in short-circuit or continuous conditions.

Our Powerline 1 connectors are high performance connectors specifically developed for high current carrying requirements. Equipped with our tried and tested Multilam contact bands they offer lowest contact resistance. These connectors are suitable as cable couplings, bus bars connections, panel mount sockets, cable plugs for instruments or power supply connections and for rack and panel applications. They are made from silver-plated brass. A large selection of standard off-the-shelf designs is available. Custom connectors with special dimensions, materials or plating are available upon request.
