- Karnataka Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Project (Jal Nirmal Project) aims to increase rural communities’ access to improved and sustainable drinking water and sanitation services. The World Bank has recently approved Rs 698 crore International Development Association (IDA) credit in additional financing for this project.

- The State Government plans to implement a drinking water scheme with a capacity to supply 270 million litres per day in Vellore district.
