Sulphur hexafluoride (SF6)

The gas detection instruments are available in Wall mounting, Panel mounting version with latest user friendly micro-controller technology with long life sensors.

                It has Infrared measuring principle (NDIR) dual beam technology, with measurement and reference channel, for SF6. Integrated evaluation electronics for drift and temperature compensation.It is very compact in size & issue in weight, it can cover range from 0-1000 P.P.M (0-100% TLV). The detection principle is by difussion. The response time less then 25 seconds and overall accuracy of +- 2% upper range value. The Calibration is done by Software. The warm up time is less 2 minutes from the power on. SF6 is designed for the location, leak testing and measurement of SF6 gas in high voltage switchyards.

              Sulphur Hexafluoride (SF6) is an excellent gaseous dielectric for high voltage power applications. It has been used extensively in high voltage circuit breakers and other switch gear employed by the power industry. SF6 Gas is used in a variety of applications where invariably leaks will occur.
