The Indian operations of HARTING will enable direct customer interface and provide access to connectivity solutions and product knowledge.

HARTING capability – Some examples
1. Han Inox
The HARTING technology group is setting a further milestone in the application of industrial connectors with the introduction of the new housing series Han-INOX. The new series made of high-grade stainless steel has been introduced for applications in areas such as the food & beverage and processing technology industries.Whether for data transfer or energy supply, Han-INOX IP 65 / 67 protected connections can now be realised under the harshest conditions. The robustness of this new housing series in conjunction with its resistance against chemical and other aggressive substances ensures reliable operation in the toughest external environment. Han-INOX is available in the sizes Han® 10 B and Han® 3 A.

2.   Han-Kit®
With the Han-Kit © option from HARTING the user has the possibility to order a complete connector under one part number. Each kit contains all housings and inserts that are required to assemble a connector. The advantage is important for users who in general use standard solutions.Available are versions of the Han A® series with 3, 4, 10 or 16 contacts as well as versions of Han E® types with 6, 10, 16 or 24 contacts in the metal housings, the versions of the size Han® 3 A are also available with plastic housings. The inserts are specified for voltages from 230 to 500 V and currents from 10 to 16 A depending on the version.

3. Han-Modular® Docking Frame
The Han-Modular® system now also allows “blind” insertion by automatic processes. Thanks to the newly developed docking frame, it is now possible to set up a modular docking connector even without a housing. This allows the modular system to be used in insertion processes that are not hand-guided. With Han-Modular®, users can select and assemble their “customized” connectors themselves. New models are continually being added to the Han-Modular® series so that customer requirements can be optimally met. Now a new Han-Modular® docking frame has joined the 36 existing modules for electrical, optical and gaseous signals and the most diverse application options in the Han® industrial connectors.  The new docking frame makes it possible to implement a modular docking connector without a housing. Such connectors are needed for racks in switch cabinets, for example. The rack cassette is slid into the cabinet. The connector sides can now be guided together “blind” and securely inserted. This is achieved by a floating frame which can move freely in a range of +/- 2 mm. At the same time, very stable leading, centering pins/bushes ensure that the two connector sides are securely connected to each other.

Details::
For docking applications in the IP 20 range
Very mechanically stable plastic frame
Cost efficient system without additional PE contacts
Suitable for all Han-Modular® modules
Rack compensation +/- 2 mm (optionally +/- 4mm)
Two sizes available: for 4 or 6 modules

4. Han-Power®
The Han-Power® range (with Han-Power® S and Han-Power® T) have been designed to create serial power distribution with quick and easy installation. Accurate installation is being aided by using pre-assembled system cables. The Han-Power® S can be inserted at the optimal position on the cable for power distribution. The cable is terminated; the individual wires are inserted into the IDC without being cut. The Han-Power® T enables you to build a completely pluggable power bus. The connector for the power has one connection for input one for output, plus one ‘T’ connection to your device supporting the flexibility of the production requirements.

5. Han-Snap®
Designed for use in protected switch rooms and switch cabinets, the Han-Snap® series, permits the installation of connectors in enclosed areas while conforming to the required IP protection class. The Han-Snap® range consists of plastic elements to facilitate the rail or panel mounting of a wide range of HARTING multi-pole connector inserts.Han-Snap® parts offer latching and strain relief options coupled with various mounting configurations; also many useful accessories are available.

6. IDC connector system for flat cables
HARTING’s product range of IDC flat cable connectors according to IEC 60 603-13 is designed for various cable-to-PCB applications. The different types of IDC board connectors offer 6 to 64 pins in various terminations such as solder (manual, wave or reflow), press-in or wire wrap. The IDC cable connectors are equally suited for indoor use as well as for outdoor applications and harsh environments.

7. D-Sub Standard connectors
HARTING’s D-Sub Standard connectors’ range includes connectors with 9 to 50 straight, right-angled, right-angled low profile or US foot print style contacts. Most connectors are offered alternatively with turned or stamped contacts.
