ELECTROTHERM : The brand recognition at IFC & IFEX 2010
Electrotherm (India) Ltd. probably has become a name synonymous with contenders for the first prize or the th Best Stall Award. A feat that was repeated for the 5 consecutive time and opined for by more than 2000 visitors th at the 58 IFC & IFEX 2010 held at the Gujarat University grounds in Ahmedabad. 2 Spanning over 450m was an ardent display of some of the marvels of Indian Engineering expertise. They had on display the largest melting furnace of 40T capacity for steel, the giant that stole the show and carved an image for itself in majority or all the cameras that visited the exhibition. This was supported by an 18MW- 24Pulse Power Supply Unit, the ET AutoPour, TriMelt, Power Manager & Power Optimizer. And above all was the E-Series display E-Series is an intelligent module that can convey the performance of any of Electrotherm’s furnaces across the country or across the world on the selected display screen using the internet.
They had displayed the online performance of one of their 30T furnaces operating in Jalna, Maharashtra. And when asked, Mr. Suneel Kulkarni, their Vice President remarked that “seated in your home or office or hotel, you can also see your furnace live in operation using the camera and get performance parameters at regular intervals over sms on your mobile phone!!” Power Optimizer and PLC Based Dynamic Load Manager are add-ons that can assist the foundryman/sms incharge to optimize the load factor and also reduce the over-all power consumption, improve power factor, better lining life and reduce power bill at large.
The TRIMELT from Electrotherm had some distinct advantages as explained by their Technical Director Mr. Dalal. “Here you are not only able to have power sharing in between the three furnaces, but you can also have each of the furnaces operating at a different frequency so that you have the flexibility of melting various metals and alloys of the ferrous as well as nonferrous family. Again, if you wish, you can order out the furnace together with the platform on us. You don’t even have to make any foundations and do any civil work at your site. The entire fabricated structure can contain three melting furnaces, one power unit, its corresponding DM Water Circulating Unit and Hydraulic Power Pack etc. you are only required to provide us with water connection on the flange and electrical input connection for the Power Supply Unit and single point auxiliary connection!!” Revolutionary… is what many visitor’s just said! . ET-AutoPour was yet another attraction that had many a visitors gazing on the simplicity and the manner it wasdisplayed and explained. We feel that it (ET-AutoPour) is not too very complicated as it was explained to us earlier” said one of the visitors who climbed down from the AutoPour visit station at the stall. The graphic display was explain and simplifying the technology for the layman to understand.
