APC by Schneider Electric, a global leader in integrated critical power and cooling services announced the launch of a smart charging and remote battery management for stationary batteries in datacenters and facilities. The APC Battery Management System is a comprehensive approach that will not only perform the usual monitoring tasks but will also mitigate the potential for problems caused by under and over charging of batteries. It will improve availability by ensuring batteries are optimally charged and ready for use.

Bauma 2010 anticipating historic high in number of exhibitors and amount of exhibition space

This year's bauma, the 29th International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Mining Machines, Construction Vehicles and Construction Equipment, will set a new record in the number of exhibitors. A total of 3,150 exhibitors from 53 countries are currently setting up their stands and exhibits on 555,000 square metres of exhibition space.

Engineered Software partnered with F.I.R.S.T GmbH

Havells announces the opening of its first display & learning center 'Havells World'

Havells India Ltd, a US$ 1bn plus company, and one of the largest and fastest growing electrical companies in the world opened its first Display and Learning center "Havells World", in the capital. Company is aiming to accelerate its growth with this initiative and plans to open 10 such stores in the country. Havells world is targeted at the retailer community, involved in retailing of the Havells electrical and lighting products.

Hikvision releases iVMS-4500 Mobile Surveillance Software

Hikvision Digital Technology Co., Ltd., the leading supplier of digital video surveillance products, announced the release of the iVMS-4500 mobile surveillance software for iPhone OS3. The iVMS-4500 mobile surveillance software supports the full line of Hikvision products, including the DS-7000/7300/8000/8100 series DVRs (dual stream models), DS-9000/9100 series DVRs, DS-6000/6100 series digital video servers, as well as network cameras and speed domes that support standard H.264 video codec.

HONEYWELL'S UOP and Indian Oil Corp. to collaborate on biofuels projects in India

UOP LLC, a Honeywell (NYSE: HON) company, announced that it signed a memorandum of understanding with Indian Oil Corp. Ltd. (IOCL) under which the two companies would collaborate on research and development for a range of biofuels technologies and projects in India. The companies would evaluate installation of a demonstration-scale unit to produce green transportation fuels at an existing IOCL site using non-food feedstocks available within India.

Drr builds paint shop for new Mercedes-Benz plant in Hungary

As the general contractor, Drr is building the paint shop for the new Mercedes-Benz plant in Kecskemt, Hungary. The contract awarded by Daimler is high in the tens of millions of Euros. Drr will install its EcoDryScrubber overspray separation system, which has already proven itself in the supplier industry, in Kecskemt. Daimler is already the fourth automotive manufacturer who has opted for this innovative technology.
